The Wealth Cap Declaration

We live in a time of extreme wealth inequality. Wealth is increasingly accumulating in the hands of a few while most citizens face rising living costs, crippling public services and shrinking opportunities. An ultra-rich minority grows richer every day by exploiting an unjust system, exerting disproportionate influence over institutions, governments, and our economies, with far-reaching consequences for everyone's lives.

No one should be able to undermine democracy, put their personal interest above society's, or decide the direction our economies should take. As wealth and power become increasingly concentrated, the growing divide not only threatens justice and progress, but also our collective liberty.

It is time to change this.

We, the signatories, defend a clear solution: a European cap on extreme wealth.

Countries in the European Union must implement a standardized limit to extreme wealth accumulation to spark wide wealth redistribution in Europe. This vast redistribution shall revive our public services, fund universal social programs, finance the green transition and promote innovation to improve everyone's lives. The time has come to move towards a democratic economic system where everyone takes part in progress. This is the only way to guarantee a better future for all, where no one is left behind. It is time to act, and it is more necessary than ever before.
